He left to be vaccinated to obtain his health pass, but found himself a few hours later in police custody! A man in his fifties presented himself this Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Zénith vaccination center in Dijon, to receive his second injection but instead of going home with his precious sesame he had to explain himself to the police. In question : his document attesting to his first injection appeared to be fraudulent to the doctor who was to prick him. Result: the 50-year-old found himself at the post.
An emblematic case for the parquet floor
“The investigations made it possible to show that there was no forgery or offense therefore logically the custody was lifted”, confirms Eric Mathais, the public prosecutor in Dijon. “But this case is emblematic and shows the great reactivity of the various services, between the prefect, the prosecutor and the police services.” The prosecutor insisting on “Particularly strong vigilance that there will be on this kind of attempt or suspicion and that if there are offenses, people will be systematically and quickly prosecuted.”
We imagine that for the fifty-year-old placed in police custody, this day must not have been easy, and nothing says whether or not he was able to return to the vaccination center, to receive (finally) his health pass.
