A boat, land vehicles and even a helicopter… Large emergency resources were mobilized on Monday, around 6 pm, by the Regional Operational Surveillance and Rescue Center (Cross) and the Guidel firefighters after the report of a man having jumped from the Saint-Maurice bridge, reports The Telegram.
The work, which links the departments of Morbihan and you
Finistère above the Laïta, rises to about ten meters from the water. A witness reports seeing a man step over it and then disappear into the coastal river.
Attempted suicide? Not at all. The presumed desperate man was ultimately just a diver, hungry for sensations. And he came out of the water safe and sound, say fishermen who witnessed the scene. The alert was immediately lifted.
