A 25-year-old man in Poland stole a very special vehicle. In the night from Friday to Saturday he left with a tram in a depot in Katowice. The man has since been arrested.
The man gave the tram the non-existent line number 33 and drove from Katowice to nearby Chorzów. Along the way, he stopped at several stops, where he picked up unsuspecting travelers.
In Chorzów, the tram caught the attention of a real tram driver, who thought the tram was going very slowly. The driver also began to suspect the non-existent line number. He notified his employer, who decided to cut the electricity to the tram. The tram stopped in a market square.
The man was sober when he was arrested by the police. It is still unclear why he decided to take the tram. The man is detained at the station, where he will be questioned.
