Zahad’s family was sympathetic to his desire to change sex.
In India, a 23-year-old transgender man on Wednesday, February 8, gave birth to a baby. The couple say they were greeted with “tears of joy”.
About it writes BBC
Zahad, 23, was born a woman but has always felt like a man; his partner, 21-year-old Zia Pawal, was born a man but is now considered a woman.
The couple started dating a few years ago while in various stages of changing the article. Then they decided that they wanted to become parents. To do this, Zahad had to stop hormone therapy and at that time he had not yet removed the uterus and ovaries, so the birth of a child became real.
21-year-old Paval said that her family is very conservative, and therefore did not understand the girl. The parents of 23-year-old Zahad were sympathetic to the situation and even helped him during his pregnancy.
Part of the transgender community in India greeted the birth of Zahad and Pawal’s child with tears of joy, but others did not take it.
Pawal teaches students how to dance, and Zahad works in a supermarket. The couple admits that after the birth of the baby, they will have to work even harder to support their family.
There are about 2 million transgender people in India. In 2014, the Supreme Court of India ruled that they have the same rights as other people. But it is still difficult for them to access education and health care.
Recall that in Russian Kazan, the imam (Muslim clergyman – Ed.) refused to enter into a religious marriage (nikah) of a couple in which the bride turned out to be a transgender.
