A tragic-comic situation shocked holidaymakers on the island. The amazing story unfolded on a beach in Newquay, UK.
Involuntarily, an 18-year-old tourist was buried alive in the sand of the beach. The incident led to a lightning rescue operation, SkyNews reports.
The man, whose name is not mentioned, dug a hole in the beach, under which, however, it turned out that there was a large cavity, as a result of which he fell into it after the sand immediately covered it.

Other beachgoers immediately came to his aid and witnessed the incident. They quickly called the police, from where they sent a rescue team. With all efforts, everyone managed to dig him up and he was transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
The medical institution announced that the man had not received any serious injuries and would be discharged quickly.
