A man died on the spot yesterday after his car overturned and pinned him. Today, relatives and friends sent for the last time Simeon Tilev, whose ridiculous demise overshadowed the Petrich village of Dolna Krushitsa. The information was told to “24 Chasa” by the former mayor of the village Ivan Tilev, who is a relative of the deceased man.
Simeon, 68, and his family were at their level in an area in the Ograzhden Mountains above Dolna Krushitsa. On departure, the car did not start and the driver set out to check and fix the problem. After he got up to try to set it on fire, the vehicle started and the man failed to control it. The car fell into a ravine, overturned and pinned the driver.
His wife called an ambulance, but by the time the medics arrived, the victim had died.
