One of the critics says, “If it weren’t for Tom Hanks, ‘A Man Called Otto’ could be a boring story about a grumpy man’s perseverance against the elements that try to bring him down. But it’s thanks to Hanks that the movie succeeds.” The audience at the site gives the film a nice score of 97%. On IMDb the film manages to get a 7.5/10.
“A great film about a grumbler, played by an excellent Tom Hanks. The film is a bit like the film by Clint Eastwood who also played such a nasty caricature. The film has a smile and a tear. Definitely recommended.” says Luudje10 on the MovieMeter site. There the film scores a 3.49/5.
