A man accused of threatening the mayor of Cartagena on social networks • La Nación


The investigative activities ordered by prosecutors from the Department of Bolívar and the Threat Group of the Special Group against Violations of Human Rights allowed to establish that Apparently, Ramiro Andrés Ramos Bolívar recorded and published an alarming video against the mayor of Cartagena (Bolívar), Dumek Turbay Paz.

On March 12, an audio-visual recording was circulated on social networks in which a man wearing a balaclava was expected to act violently against the president and incite blockades in the city, in rejecting an administrative measure that would have banned motorcycles from wearing grills.

The evidence indicates that Ramos Bolívar was the author of the video, and its mass distribution created concern in the community and concern for the mayor about its potential impact on integrity. In that sense, the Prosecutor’s Office accused him of the crime of threats against human rights defenders and public servants.

The alleged attacker accepted the charge, apologized to the mayor of Cartagena and promised not to do this type of action again.
