The Radeon RX 580 is a four-year-old card without just four days, which came on the market for the official price of $ 229 for the 8GB version and $ 199 for the 4GB version. In games, it is roughly at the level of GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, so it has not been mainstream for a long time, but it is still very useful hardware for cryptocurrency mining, which will offer about 28 MH / s in Etherea mining with consumption of around 150 W. the highest efficiency, but this is offset by the relatively low purchase price, thanks to which the card is paid sooner.

At the same time, Chinese card merchants supplying miners (or the miners themselves) are now trying to lure people with their Radeons RX 580. nonsense just because of how old the cards are.
But it’s not exactly a theft fraud, because people who choose to send their Radeon will receive a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or GTX 1060 3GB card in exchange for it, and sometimes even financial compensation. It is more of an attempt to lure people into hardware that is otherwise unavailable, and the choice fell on the RX 580, which is apparently widely “available” in China. AMD has already issued an official statement stating that it is a fraud.

Fraudsters thus try to either exchange or buy cards, while in the latter case the offer is not completely bad at first glance. For the 4GB version of the RX 580, those interested can get up to about CZK 3,000 for the 8GB version, even CZK 5,600 (900 and 1,700 yuan). Of course, they will give up cards that obviously have a higher value, and so in the end, even those who let themselves be deceived, but at least get a weaker GeForce, may be better off.
In this way, the miners are of course trying to get rid of weak cards or those that already have too little memory and are not suitable for mining. And if they are able to buy an 8GB Radeon RX 580 in this way for about half the price than it is normally sold second-hand (it also applies to us), it is certainly a good deal for them.
