Earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 4.4 occurred at arrowroot, West Java. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 km.
BMKG reported that the earthquake occurred on Wednesday (1/2/2023), at 22.57 WIB. The epicenter was 21 km northwest of Garut Regency.
“Earthquake Magnitude 4.4,” wrote BMKG on its official Twitter account, @infoBMKG.
The location of the earthquake was at coordinates 7.20 south latitude-107.70 east longitude. BMKG said the results of data processing were not stable and could change.
“This information prioritizes speed, so the results of data processing are not stable and can change along with the completeness of the data,” wrote the BMKG.
There is no information on casualties or damage from the earthquake in Garut.
