Friday revealed Aftenposten that KrF leader and Minister for Children and Families Kjell Ingolf Ropstad had reported that he paid rent for the boys’ room at Moisund to the Prime Minister’s Office (SMK) – without actually having paid his parents.
Ropstad escaped with the move to pay 175,000 kroner in taxes, the newspaper writes.
Since then, criticism has been directed at the Minister. On Saturday, it therefore became clear that Kjell Ingolf Ropstad will resign as leader of the Christian People’s Party (KrF) next Friday in connection with the party’s national board meeting. He also resigns as Minister of State. This is how it had to go, says VG’s commentator.
After announcing his departure, he thanked and apologized via his Facebook page:

Kjell Ingolf Ropstad belongs to Oslo Mission Church Bethlehem.
