Speculations about the form of the next smartphone from Apple are a welcome diversion not only on hot summer days. Although, according to available information, it is likely that the design of the upcoming iPhone 15 will not be radically different from the current models, it is not even excluded that the company from Cupertino is not experimenting with unconventional and innovative designs for one of the next smartphones with a bitten apple on the back. After all, there was also speculation recently that Apple is considering its own flexible phone, which would nevertheless not fold like an available competition, but instead the display would roll.
A completely bezel-less iPhone made of glass
Now the well-known leaker Ice Universe came with surprising information that Apple is allegedly considering creating a design that would have almost invisible frames around the display. The speculation is allegedly fueled by the fact that Samsung Display and LG Display are developing an OLED panel without the need to mount it in a frame. Thanks to UPC technology, a phone with this panel would also look like a piece of glass. It is glass that is one of Apple’s favorite materials, and it is possible that they would try to make an iPhone entirely from this material in Cupertino.

A transparent smartphone, or at least a phone made of hard glass, would certainly look very good and futuristic. From a practical point of view, it may seem that such a device would be fragile and would be damaged very easily, on the other hand, a fall is critical in many cases even for phones with the current design, and the glass back is quite easily scratched even if you carry your smartphone in a protective case all the time. However, Ice Universe has no doubts about the all-glass iPhone and, according to him, it will be a reality in the foreseeable future.

Whether Ice Universe will be right with its prediction this time, or whether it will remain unfulfilled, is the million dollar question for now. Undoubtedly, Apple has the resources and capable designers and developers who would be able to construct a similar phone, however, the Cupertino giant is traditionally very cautious about innovation and a radical design change is not exactly its domain, especially if it would lead to impracticality.
