The return of vinyl arouses the demands of collectors, who will find something to enjoy, and music for their ears in a new collection which is born with a new, remixed and limited edition of « Black in half »the 1980 masterpiece by Pino Danieleof which Italy is preparing to celebrate on January 4 next year the tenth anniversary of the disappearance and, immediately after, the 19 marson the day of the missed seventieth birthday (and its feast).
The project was born from the admiration and esteem of Alessandro Massarapresident of Universal Music Italia, for the work of Pino « Pinaxa » Pischetolaone of the most important sound engineers in circulation. “Pinaxa”, like Massara, is a great enthusiast of the world of vinyl and both affirm that this medium, if produced optimally, surpasses in listening pleasure any other format used to reproduce music.
It is precisely for this reason that Pischetola was chosen as supervisor of an operation that aims to bring the sound of the LP to a very high level of sound quality, by producing new vinyl editions of some of the masterpieces histories of the Universal catalog. He took care of the entire production chain, starting with the search for the best available masters and personally taking care of the remastering, to then follow all the other technical processes that lead to the printing of an album on vinyl (cutting and pressing). The different masters created over time were selected by then deciding to use as a source a high-resolution digital transfer of the original analog tapes: this guaranteed the best possible sound result and the meticulous remastering of “Pinaxa” was fundamental for the engraving of the lacquer, with subsequent cutting entrusted to Alessandro Di Guglielmoone of the best Italian technicians.
The sonic benefits achieved are considerable: more clarity, better frequency response, less noise, less distortion, less compression, in essence the highest possible quality to give listeners the opportunity to enjoy this repertoire like never before .
“Nero a metà” by Daniele will be the first title in this series of publications dedicated to maximum sound fidelity. The production of the 180g vinyl was entrusted to Ppm Italy, a specialized Italian factory which guaranteed perfect quality of the printing and packaging of the record. Different pressing tests were produced and listened to before arriving at the final result which equaled or even improved the quality of the first print. The packaging is also careful down to the smallest detail, a perfect replica of the original work with a sealed cardboard box and a sticker bearing the barcode, numbering and legal notices applied to the cellophane; inside, a transparent anti-static pouch ensures maximum protection of the vinyl.
A project designed for audiophiles, enthusiasts or simple music lovers: everyone will be captivated by the surprising quality of these LPs, available only in a limited edition of 900 copies.
