The Five-A-Committee of the Football Association sent a letter to the African Union “K”, to confirm that there is no intention to cancel the Egyptian We-League competition this season.
The league championship has been suspended since last March due to an outbreak of Corona-Covid-19 virus.
A source in the Football Association told Yalla Koura that there is a ready plan that has been put in place to complete the season.
The source continued: “We made it clear to Kef that the plan is ready, but the decision is in the hands of the state.”
Kef had approached the local federations to announce their position on the resumption of competitions before May 5.
18 league matches were held, with Al-Ahly leading the competition with 49 points.
And 13 clubs had called for the cancellation of the Egyptian League, while we rejected the other clubs and demanded that they wait and not hurry to take the decision to cancel.
