Ulrich Bongo Maganga, alternate candidate for the 2023 legislative elections, has just lost his life following a traffic accident in Mongo, 23 kilometers from Tchibanga.
Candidate of the Democrats party in the 2023 legislative elections for the single seat of Mongo, Nyanga province, Ulrich Bongo Maganga is no longer one of the candidates. According to the newspaper L’Union, he was the victim of a traffic accident and died on the spot. The site says that: it was 6:30 p.m. when the taxi driver hired by Rock Ulrich Bongo Maganga and 4 other compatriots lost control of his vehicle, which rolled over 5 times. According to several witnesses, the accident was linked to the excessive speed at which the driver was driving. Indeed, the festive atmosphere generated by the election period seems to have taken over that day on the lucidity of the latter. For the party of President Guy Nzouba Ndama, this disappearance less than two weeks before the legislative elections requires a digital replacement. He would already benefit from seizing the National Elections Center (CGE) in order to report on the situation.
