The depositor asked to obtain a portion of his deposit, in particular the amount of $ 5,000, to cover the cost of an urgent operation for the infant son, who is no more than two months old and who suffers from a hole in his heart. .
The police arrived on the spot and began negotiating with the depositor to convince him not to harm himself and to open the doors to the bank, while the negotiations between the depositor and the management of the BLOM Bank led him to obtain a amount of 280 million Lebanese pounds.
Lebanon is suffering from a financial crisis that has caused banks to refrain from handing over their money to depositors, and a number of depositors have stormed banks to get their deposits since last September.
