The initiative comes from the family and relatives of Arno Hintjens, who want to allow those who admired him to pay him a last tribute. “His urn will occupy a place of honor and you can also leave a personal message in the condolence register”, announced this Friday the direction of the Old Belgium.
The mythical room in Brussels, which was Arno’s “second living room”, had already opened a register of condolences (photo). The singer died on Saturday April 23. He had been battling pancreatic cancer since the end of 2019. He was going to be 73 on May 21.
Born in Ostend, Arno Hintjens had lived in the capital since the 1980s and regularly frequented the Place Sainte-Catherine district in Brussels.
