At the beginning of March the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Île-de-France announced these tests in nursery schools and elementary schools in Seine-Saint-Denis. This is the department in the Paris region where the incidence rate is the highest: around 1% of the population is believed to be a carrier of the disease.

This practice currently only concerns a quarter of the municipalities of Seine-Saint-Denis.
