World “Lord of the Rings” this year is expanding not only with the second season of the series “Rings of Power”but also with the first animated film “The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim“ (The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim).
An anime director is working on the project “Ghost in the Shell” Kenji Kamiyama, so you can expect impressive visuals. The prequel was overseen by Peter Jackson, who decided to return to the franchise along with the cast of his trilogy.

The plot of “The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim”
Events “The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim” take place two centuries before the plot of Peter Jackson’s film trilogy. The prequel is dedicated to Hera, who was not in Tolkien’s books or in previous film adaptations.
The story follows the home of Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan, who is threatened by Wulf, the ruthless Lord of the Dunlendings. He seeks revenge for his father’s death. Helm and his people fight – that’s what the new poster depicts. The main battle will take place over the mighty fortress, which will later become known as Helm’s Deep.
“The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim” will be released on big screens on December 13, 2024. The release will take place simultaneously with the comic book movie “Kraven the Hunter”which is Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
