For the Tay and Nung Xu Lang ethnic people, the July full moon day is considered the second biggest festival of the year after the Lunar New Year. On this day, people often make many types of cakes, including “xìm” cake – a traditional cake that has been made for a long time by people to offer to their ancestors, pray for a good harvest year.
