Lanus faces Cruzeiro this Wednesday for the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana semifinals. The Maroons arrived in Belo Horizonte and some of their fans had problems with the Police, according to TNT Sports on the neighboring shore.

But the worst happened minutes before the start of the match at the Mineirão Stadium in Belo Horizonte, when a Lanús fan died.

O Globo reported that the Argentine fan Marcelo Riadigos, 55, died after suffering cardiac arrest.

It is worth saying that Riadigos, known as El Polaco, was a leader of Lanús.
The fan became unwell at the fan fest and was assisted by the Belo Horizonte Military Police. with resuscitation maneuvers, until the ambulance arrived.
