Yesterday, March 14, the Prince of Monaco turned 65 years old. With his inherent sense of humor, Albert stated that age is just a number. “The only thing that matters is that I see friends retiring at that age. I can’t do it,” he told People.

What do they celebrate in Monaco?
As much as he downplays his holiday, however, Albert gets a special surprise from his children. Right after they got home from school, the twins Jacques and Gabriella “kidnapped” him to take him to a play.
“I was warned that I would be kidnapped,” the prince said. However, the real celebrations for his birthday are today, March 15, when he and Princess Charlene will attend a St. Patrick’s Day concert at his mother Princess Grace’s Irish Library.
Meanwhile, however, Albert warned that he does not want gifts. “People think the palace is big, but actually the warehouses are overflowing. There’s nowhere to put more stuff.” Therefore, he is sure what his greatest achievement is during the 18 years on the throne: “My wife and my children”.
Albert’s next engagement is a visit to Ireland, where he will honor the unveiling of a monument to Grace Kelly in County Mayo. Although American, Kelly maintains her paternal Irish heritage, which is why she came to the Emerald Isle.
