A huge screen and thinner borders, Samsung finally wakes up with its Galaxy S25 Ultra

By drastically reducing the size of the borders around the screen of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung would manage to increase the size of the display, while limiting the width of the smartphone. “Bah bénef”as it is customary to say now.

Regularly accused of resting on its laurels or copying Apple, Samsung could finally significantly improve the design of its Galaxy S25 Ultra, a model which has tended to stagnate in recent years.

According to information from the reputable leaker Ice Universe, the smartphone would sport a screen with a diagonal of 6.86 inches, compared to 6.79 inches for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Already massive, the display would become even more imposing.

A bigger screen, but a narrower smartphone

Don’t panic, this doesn’t mean that the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will increase, which could affect its ergonomics. The insider reveals that Samsung has reduced the size of the borders around the panel (from 3.35 mm to 2.3 mm), even allowing the width of the smartphone to be reduced from 79 mm to 77.6 mm despite the larger screen. We hope that this will be reflected in a more comfortable grip.

In short, only good news, it seems that the brand has finally made efforts to ensure that its flagship benefits from a more careful design. Another design novelty expected for the mobile is the adoption of more rounded corners. The Galaxy S25 Ultra should thus look more like the Galaxy S25 and S25 +. Until now, this model stood out on this point, inspired by the late Galaxy Note range.

The same source recently explained that “The Galaxy S25 Ultra chassis is designed asymmetrically at the front and back”. It would be more rounded at the back shell and straighter as you get closer to the part near the screen. Thanks to such a design, comfort would be increased when handling.

Otherwise, the photo part of the Galaxy S25 Ultra should undergo some changes. However, we should not expect major developments in terms of battery and charging.
