SEVERAL homes were reportedly destroyed in a huge house blast that left several people hospitalized, officials say.
Shocking photos show the extent of the damage caused by the blast that sent debris flying around a neighborhood in Pottstown, Pennsylvania on Thursday night.
The explosion was reported around 8:30 p.m.
Officials have not yet confirmed the number of homes damaged.
It’s also unclear how many people were injured, although WFMZ-TV reports 69News that no coroner was dispatched to the scene.
Photos show at least one home completely razed and debris lining the streets. Other crime scene photos show police officers roping down areas around fallen poles and wires.
Neighbors in the area report hearing a loud bang, according to a local NBC affiliate.
The authorities continue to investigate.
Pottstown is in Montgomery County, about 40 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
