The flames have covered over 300 decares
A fire broke out in the Burgas neighborhood “Gorno Ezerovo” on Thursday afternoon. Dry grasses and firewood are burning near Vaya Lake, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported and specified that there are two firefighting teams and six firefighters on site.
Due to the peculiarities of the area, extinguishing is difficult. The flames are also growing because of the wind in the region. The fire has already covered an area of over 300 acres, according to the regional “Fire and Emergency Safety” service.
According to RISV, at this moment there is no data on gassing of residential areas. However, the fire is in a protected area, where many waterfowl live even now.
There is no danger for the residents of the “Dolno Ezerovo” district, despite the thick smoke that is already spreading over the lake.
