Inspired by the sci-fi movie classic “2001: A Space Odyssey”, the 510 square meter house built in Joshua Tree National Park, which looks like a box made of mirrors from the outside, says “Toptenrealestatedeals.com“. Or more precisely – once noticed, the unique mirror house resembles a flat skyscraper made of concrete, steel and glass, only in a horizontal position.

The house blends into the surroundings like a chameleon. Its facade plays wonderful visual tricks, changing its reflection depending on the time of day and the weather. It constantly reflects the dramatic rocky desert landscape, showing how beautiful quiet, monotonous and untouched nature really is.

Apart from the road that leads to the house, there is no other indication that an architectural wonder can be found in the desert landscape. However, despite this, “Invisible House” offers its residents a high quality of life, reports the magazine “Ubm magazine.“.

The owners of the house wanted something modern, and architect Tomas Orsinski helped to realize this idea. The heat-reflecting glass gives the house a unique look, besides, it does not let harmful UV rays through. The house is thoughtfully built in the shadow of the hill to ensure that it is not dazzled by the intense rays of the afternoon sun. The days in the desert are particularly hot, but the nights are refreshingly cold, so the thermal mass of concrete helps maintain a constant temperature in the house, as well as the 30-meter long swimming pool heated by solar energy.

The house has four bathrooms, three bedrooms (each bedroom has its own private bathroom), a kitchen and a spacious living room area. The wide pool area has not been forgotten about recreation opportunities either – there are soft sofas and a television right next to it. However, there is no need to worry about being able to relax while enjoying a beautiful view, as the glass walls open up an endless view of the desert landscape. The house has three glazed doors, which open up the possibility to enjoy nature even closer, being in different areas of the house.

Although the interior is kept in calm colors, it has various unusual details, such as a glass bed frame. The bedrooms are separated from each other by white partitions, but a special mood is given by the lighting of the house, which can be adjusted to a color that matches your mood.

In order for the building not to harm the environment and animals of the Joshua Tree National Park, environmental protection rules were followed in the construction and planning of the house. As the magazine “Ubm magazine” reports, the birds have not suffered because of the house either, but on the contrary – tweeters are taking advantage of the situation when swarms of insects have gathered on the glass facade. Currently, the house is for sale for almost 17 million euros.
