A homemade fireplace and paint that offers “no going back”: view the living rooms of ‘House made’ before and after renovation here

It was stressful, Thursday evening in Home made† In Antwerp, Beringen and Boortmeerbeek, the three remaining couples battled against time to finish the living rooms of their homes. After all, they expected the jury to give a verdict. And “a jury is not there to be nice, but to be fair”. Judge for yourself.

Anaïs (21) and Cedric (23) in Antwerp

The major stumbling block in their bedroom remodel was poor planning. Anaïs & Cedric therefore want to completely finish their living room at all costs. They want to continue the style of their bedroom, including the now infamous mouldings. An hour before the deadline, the stress still set in because Cedric had to install a heater himself.

Eline realized she was taking a risk when she applied an exotic, yet daring tangerine color to the wall. “Once you’ve painted that, there’s no going back.” A hole in their perfectly plastered ceiling caused a small heart attack just before the finish line.

Tangerine colors are nowhere to be found in Boortmeerbeek, green tones all the more. The homemade fireplace should become the showpiece of Emiel & Alexia’s living room. This couple also dreamed aloud of mouldings, but the dream soon turned into a nightmare.

The three-member jury already gave their verdict on the renovation work on Thursday evening. Who will win the main prize – an extra renovation budget of 2,000 euros – will be announced in next Tuesday’s episode.
