This holiday season will not have many of its usual traditions, but the festival of lights on Randall’s Island still stands.
This is the Chinese lantern and lantern show, Lumino City, which opened this weekend.
The activity is outdoors and takes place in a space of around 10 hectares, with completely renovated facilities.
It is divided into five different attractions, including: the mysterious forest, the dangerous dunes and the land of the mystical moon.
It also features a 26-foot tall Christmas tree, made up of lanterns handmade in China.
Certain parts of the festival have been shortened due to Covid-19 safety concerns, but are still accessible by public transport and on foot.
Lumino City It will be open on weekends and most business days from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. through January 10.
