One of the students of SMAN 1 Banguntapan, Bantul, DIY, who claimed to be forced wearing hijab by the BK teacher finally moved schools. The Department of Education, Youth, and Sports (Disdikpora) DIY facilitated the student to change schools.
“There has been communication with the assistants, so today they may have confirmed in a new place. Possibly at SMAN 7 Jogja,” said Head of Disdikpora DIY Didik Wardaya when contacted by reporters, as reported by detikJateng, Monday (1/8/2022).
Didik explained that his party had also asked for clarification from SMAN 1 Banguntapan and the party who complained about the problem to the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) Representative of DIY.

“Yes, we clarified yesterday both to the school and to the complainant. To further explore what the real problem is? But to give the student a sense of comfort, we give the student the opportunity, whether the school is there or elsewhere,” said Didik.
Regarding the violation of SMAN 1 Banguntapan, Didik continued, Disdikpora DIY is still investigating the forced use of the headscarf and the sale of uniform packages for Muslim students, including the hijab.
“Yes, we are also investigating. Yes, we have just explored this. I myself formed friends such as a task force with my friends and then they searched for it. It’s not allowed (selling and buying uniforms). According to the ministerial regulation, the sale of uniforms is not allowed. school,” he regrets.
