A high-risk fire was extinguished in a production building in Liepāja

At 9:20 p.m., a call was received to Kapsėdes Street in Liepāja, where a fire had broken out in a production building – at the scene, it was found that there was heavy smoke in the two-story building.

During the search of the premises, it was found that the ventilation equipment in an area of ​​30 square meters was on fire.

19 firefighters and rescuers worked at the scene, using five tanker trucks and one truck ladder.

This morning VUGD received a call to Slimnīcas Street in Liepāja, where a fire broke out in a public building. At the scene, it was found that there was smoke in the basement of the building. When searching the premises, it was found that the smoke originated from a burned electrical cabinet with an area of ​​three square meters.

Firefighters ventilated the premises using a smoke fan and also checked the premises with a thermal camera.

On Tuesday evening, the rescuers went to Zviņuų Street in Riga, where a room and a corridor of 25 square meters were on fire in the apartment on the third floor of a five-story residential building. Firefighters rescued two people from the fourth and fifth floors with the help of rescue masks, while three people evacuated on their own. One person was injured in the incident.

In the past 24 hours, VUGD received 56 calls – 16 for firefighting, including five for firefighting, 27 for rescue work, but 13 calls were false.
