A herding dog competition on August 28 and 29 in Sainte-Anne-Saint-Priest

The elite of herding dogs will participate: working kelpies, Australian herding dogs, Borders Colleys.

This competition, open to the public, is organized by the French club of Australian Cattle Dogs and Kelpies, the town hall, as well as the festival committee. It aims to evaluate the work of dogs with sheep. On the Island, the sheep were those present on plots adjoining the lake belonging to the eponymous union, but access to it is limited for technical reasons.

Here, in Saint-Anne, those of Alexandre Pagnaud, sheep breeder of the municipality will participate. More than thirty shepherds and their dogs will therefore be evaluated for exercises inspired by farm work.

All of these events include different levels, including level 3, scheduled for Saturday, which offers participants the opportunity to qualify for the 2022 French championship.

Free entry, in front of the town hall. Catering on site for the duration of the competition which will start at 8 a.m. and end around 6 p.m. If level 3 of the test is on Saturday, levels 1 and 2 will be on Sunday.
