A hard blow on the telepool. Zelensky signs law: media rights go to clubs

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed the law on amendments to the law of Ukraine “on physical culture and sport” on the delimitation of sporting events and competitions.

Therefore, the telepool is clearly not intended to be formalized. The rights to broadcast home matches in national competitions are now owned by the clubs.

Recall that 317 deputies voted for the changes in early September, 34 deputies did not vote. There were no “against” or “abstentions” votes.

The new version of the law provides that the organizer of a sporting event is a club. And the clubs now own the broadcast rights. A very important law for Ukrainian football came into effect on 1 October.
