The TV presenter got into the epicenter of the terrible disaster that hit Spain days ago, and what he shares will make many cringe.
“We are really close to the floods, but everything is fine at the moment. It is sunny and we are praying for the people who are still searching,” Zueka’s wife, Ani Vasileva, told Bulgaria Today.
The actor himself emphasized on the network that everything is fine with him so that his relatives do not worry. The place where our popular actor and now artist lives is called La Misia, which is a neighborhood above the town of Altea. This is very close to the most affected town – Utiel.
“I filled up with gas there. But otherwise I live in Madrid. We also had a big flood, there were also trees that fell on cars, but in general we are fine now.”
This is what actor Philip Grigorov said, who has been living and working in Madrid for years. According to him, the most important reason why this huge flood is happening is that the forests are being cut down, the buildings are being built on a large scale, and no more grass is being planted.
“The sad thing is that now construction is allowed in the low-lying areas and fields where in such situations a large amount of water passes. In 1957 there was a similar flood again in these places and the dictator Franco ordered that the dam be built around and expanded and maintained the beds of the rivers and streams to divert the water to the side. Years later, however, the politicians with their decisions have gradually removed part of these draining reservoirs or have not maintained them, and that is why this is happening now,” said the double of the Prime Minister of Spain, Jose Luis Zapatero.
