In Canadain Vancouver, the gym Bodyworks Fitness de Parksville has decided to deny access to areas reserved for women to a transsexualby name «Brigid» Klyne-Simpson.
This person tried to enroll in a women-only gym, they wouldn’t let him. He complains and goes to the news saying that he is discriminated against because he claims to be a woman.

The circumstance occurs that the gym has two rooms: one only for women and another mixed. Klyne-Simpson applied to the women’s-only gym, but was denied by the gym, says InfoCatólica of LSN.
To defend her rights as a woman, Klyne-Simpson is now considering filing a human rights complaint after a staff member at the women’s-only gym asked her to use the coed gym.
The owner of the gym Dale Nagrastated that Klyne-Simpson can use the co-ed gym, where there are gender-neutral locker rooms: “We want [Klyne-Simpson] feel comfortable, but we also have to worry about the young girls, that this gym is set up for them and for women, and how their parents are going to feel if they are there and then this big, masculine-voiced person walks in.”
The discomfort of Klyne-Simpson, noted Dale Nagra reasonably, it shouldn’t be the overriding concern: “So now you choose the comfort of the male identifying as a female… and then anyone can walk in saying, ‘Okay, I identify as a female, and I want to be able to walk in there.’ So do we choose the comfort of the transgender person, who may not feel as comfortable in the co-ed gym but at least it’s an alternative, or do we choose the comfort of the young girls who work there who may not feel comfortable?” collects Infocatólica from LSN.
