Banned since January 1, 1997 in France, asbestos is still present in many buildings, especially agricultural buildings. The Ministry of Labor, in collaboration with Dreets Bretagne (Regional Directorate for Economy, Employment, Labor and Solidarity), has published an information leaflet for farmers to support them in their obligations regarding asbestos found on farms. This booklet summarizes in particular the steps to be taken to assess the risk of exposure to asbestos generated by the materials and products that contain it, in particular in the case of works in progress.
