a guide to life insurance co-created with consumers

While the French have never saved so much but paradoxically feel ill-informed about the mechanisms of savings, the French Federation of Insurance is publishing, as part of the financial education week which is held from 22 to March 28, a guide entitled “Saving with life insurance”, developed jointly with 60 consumers.

This guide will support individuals in their long-term savings choices and help them determine the life insurance contract best suited to their profile and their project, through a series of key questions.

It covers the taxation of the preferred investment of the French, but also the costs, the choice of investment vehicles. according to his “risk appetite” or the choice of the beneficiary of his capital in the event of death.

The guide obtained from the Banque de France – operator of the national financial education strategy – the EDUCFI label which attests to the pedagogy, simplicity and neutrality of the information it contains.

It is the result of a co-construction process with a pilot working group, made up of insurers anda panel of 60 consumers representative of the French population, associated with each of the work sequences – from identifying life insurance issues to validating the document.
