Recently, the cold wave came and the temperature dropped. Some netizens are curious about why a group of people in Taiwan can’t stand when it’s only 13 degrees. Did they die more suddenly?
The original OP made a post on PTT. He curiously asked, “Why do many people suddenly die in Taiwan when it’s as cold as 13 degrees?” It is obvious that winter in some temperate or even freezing countries is closer to 0 degrees. Even if there is heating inside, it is still cold enough outside to freeze the snow, so there are more sudden deaths in those villages? He laughed and said he heard that some people were hoping to go on a winter break and had to go to school at 0 grades abroad.
After the post was exposed, many netizens commented, “The point is the sudden change in temperature”, “The body feels cooler, plus the big temperature difference”, “The temperature difference is too big” , “Cardiovascular disease + temperature difference = Death”.
Some people think that it is because Taiwan is a wet and cold type of climate. “In South Korea, one coat is enough in 0 degrees, but in Taiwan it’s not enough because it’s humid and cold.” “I can wear sleeveless in Canada in 0 degrees. I’m in Taiwan in this kind of weather. It’s cold as a perfume”, “The humidity and heat dissipate quickly, the extreme comparison is you are in 10 degrees in the water and 10 degrees in the air”, “13 degrees with a humidity of 45 and 70 are completely two worlds.
