CILEGON.BCO.CO.ID – A Habibah Jaya Kencana K 7031 OB bus, which was carrying a group of 48 people from Cilegon City to Central Java, reportedly had an accident at KM. 186-200 A Cikopo Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road heading for Central Java, Kempek Village, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province this morning at 04.30 WIB, Saturday 25 February 2023.
From the information gathered, three people died and two passengers were seriously injured in the accident. The three victims who died were bus driver Entus (48), a resident of East Rau, Cimuncang Village, Serang District, Serang City. Then, the passenger named Sholeh Abdusallam (26), a resident of the Taman Warnasari Indah Complex, Block. FWA 41/05, Warnasari Urban Village, Cingkil District, Cilegon City, and Rosita Deliani (30), a resident of Kebonsari Village, Cingkil District, Cilegon City.
While two people who were seriously injured, namely, a two-year-old toddler named Sabrina and Murwoko (35) residents of Sembung, Sugihan Village, Bulukerto District, Wonogiri Regency.
It is known that this accident was allegedly caused by the bus driver Habibah Jaya Kencana crashing into a Mitsubishi Fuso B 9038 FYT truck which was in the same direction in front of him. The victim who died and suffered serious injuries was then taken to Arjawinangun Hospital. Meanwhile, the rest were taken to Mitra Plumbon Hospital.
Cilegon Police Chief AKBP Eko Tjahjo Untoro confirmed the incident. He conveyed his deep condolences to the families of the victims who experienced this tragedy. He said this accident was also a lesson for motorists to always be careful when driving on the streets. “We share in the grief, I hope the victim’s family will be given fortitude and patience to face this ordeal,” said AKBP Eko Tjahjo Untoro.
He also invited all Cilegon people to pray for the victims of this accident to recover as soon as possible. “For those who died, hopefully the deceased and the deceased will get the best place with Allah SWT.
