The 15th edition of the 15 Km of Liège Métropole was held this Sunday from a crowded Guillemins esplanade. This event, which offers a series of races ranging from walking to trail running, brought together a large number of people, all coming to celebrate the sport and maintain their physical condition.
More than 11,000! This is the number of participants present at the start of the 15th edition of the Ethias 15km of Liège Métropole, the most popular running race in Wallonia. The event offers a very complete program made up of 4 races including the legendary 15 km, 2 walks (21km and 8km) and 2 trails (42km and 21km), all in a crazy atmosphere, at the start, during the race and on arrival. The 15km from Liège are also a unique opportunity to discover the most beautiful corners of the Cité Ardente. Enough to make Liège a sporting metropolis where all generations can come together for a friendly moment of sport.
Younger, more feminine, more eco-responsible, this event, both sporting and popular, continues to grow over time! Participants come there to have a pleasant time without forgetting that sporting activity is beneficial for their health. Several athletes were able to echo this position, they were also able to give starts and/or present prizes. This is the case of Robin Vanderbemden, the athlete, who will be part of the Belgian team at the Paris Olympic Games (2024), was also enthusiastic to see so many runners in the city.
This great sports festival concluded in the Boverie park where a convivial village awaited the many participants…
