Plovdiv lawyer Vladimir Elderov and his accomplices received final sentences from the Supreme Court, a reporter handed over to Plovdiv24.bg. The case was initiated following a complaint by the lawyer and his accomplices, taxi boss Radoslav Keranov, Milko Doevski, Martin Poptolev, Svetlin Spasov, Petyo Penev and Valeri Bodurov.
All were charged with arson of cars and buildings, damage to a car, preparation for murder, theft and robbery. The cassation proceedings were the second in a row. The Supreme Court of Cassation confirmed the verdicts imposed by the Court of Appeals-Sofia, where the case was heard due to several appeals by judicial panels.
Thus, the punishment of Vladimir Elderov was slightly reduced to less and was 5 years and 6 months of “imprisonment”. freedom”. Milko Doevski was sentenced to 4 years in prison. Petyo Penev’s sentence is 3 years suspended with 5 years of probation.

Lawyer Elderov was detained at the end of January 2015 and in the course of the case that lasted more than 7 years, he was released, but after the verdict of the supreme judges, he will spend the rest of his sentence in prison.
Vladimir Elderov is the son of a lawyer Daniela Elderova and a lawyer Krasimir Elderov.
