My biggest surprise while waiting for this holiday is the uneven interest of the listeners in two very equal concerts “Tīrums. Dziesmas ceļs” and “Kopā upsup”. How naive I was, encouraging my family from the first minute of ticket sales to grab and grab the available seats in the “Tīrums. Dziesmas ceļš” audience seats. Ha! It turns out that everything, as usual – we wanted, how better, turned out, as always. A huge toast for the missed opportunity to attend the final concert and tickets for a very high-quality and concentrated choir concert, which will probably be even more powerful in terms of emotions.
Choirs and festival organizers have been working hard for several years so that the listeners of Latvian songs would not be left with broken hearts, but could participate in the festival and hear 16,000 singers merging into one song. We have learned twice as much repertoire, the intensity of rehearsals is also high during the holiday week. Preparing two such high-quality concerts is no joke.
