At 5: 4, the Pole had two set balls to break, but the Serb did a great job – first by serving an ace, and then pushing Hurkacz to the defense during a longer exchange of passes.

The next two games were quick, because Serb triumphed to zero with his own pass, and then Hurkacz repeated it.

Then Hurkacz could play calmly. Lajović managed to play another game, although the Pole even had a match ball in it. Hurkacz sounded inspired with his pass and the score of 5: 3. He sparkled with his service again and it was with this element of the game that ended the meeting. Another ace service, game, set, match. The entire meeting lasted one hour and 38 minutes.

An extremely difficult task for the 25-year-old in the quarter-finals. Hurkacz will face the leader of the world ranking – Serb – for promotion to the next round Novak Djokovic.
