The general meeting of the Langres Blood Donors Association was held on Thursday, September 5 in the Jean-Favre room, under the presidency of Jacqueline Georgin, accompanied by the members of the office, the head physician of the EFS, Peggy Cygler and the departmental councilor Dominique Thiébaud.
The moral report was an opportunity for the president to thank Anne Cardinal, Mayor of Langres for lending the rooms and her manager Christian Poulain for his help in organizing the collections. A big thank you was addressed to the generous donors and volunteers of the Amicale, as well as to the municipalities of the region for the subsidies granted to improve the snacks.
Peggy Cygler spoke to extend warm thanks to the volunteers of the Amicale before recalling some figures on the Chaumont collections and the new features in the organization of the collections set up since 2022. With her activity report, the president emphasized: ” In 2023, we recorded 93 fewer donors collected, but we welcomed 86 first-time donors, mainly young adults, i.e. 1,279 donors presented and 1,173 collected over the five collections at the Jean-Favre hall, as well as the two at Freudenberg, Silo France and Magna and one at Epide. ».
The president looked back on the very enriching day of the congress of the Departmental Union, organized by the Amicale on April 22 with the presence of 70 representatives of blood donation associations. The financial report and the reappointment of four members of the board of directors were validated. The president adjourned the session after the presentation of the diploma and the silver badge for 75 donations to Dominique Chignardet.
