A global campaign called “Make a Difference” was launched in connection with COP29

The UN’s top climate change champion has launched a new campaign called “Difference Makers” to promote climate solutions. IS reports that the announcement was made by Nigar Arpadarai, the UN’s top Climate Change champion.

He pointed out that the campaign wants to highlight the projects and activities of individuals and innovators from different sectors who have innovative ideas in the fight against climate change.

Within the campaign “Make a difference”, projects of social entrepreneurs, community representatives and individuals with start-up ideas will be selected and presented on various platforms.

The purpose of the campaign is to show that everyone is able to take action that has a positive impact on the environment, to call and encourage everyone to join the fight against climate change.

The projects selected during the campaign will be presented both on online platforms and within the framework of the “Difference Makers” exhibition during the COP29 held in Azerbaijan.

The selection of the winning candidates in the nomination “Make a difference” will be made by the Committee made up of representatives from international research institutes, social organizations and communication platforms.

The evaluation of the “Difference Makers” will take into account their innovative approaches, creativity and communication skills, as well as the impact and scale of their initiatives.

Social networks LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and “X” will be used to ensure that the campaign is broad, inclusive and accessible. Anyone who wants to share how they started and how their projects are progressing can share photos or videos showing the “before and after” stages of their projects. – their climate solutions initiatives in their community, city or company with the hashtag #COP29ImpactMakers.

Nigar Arpadarai emphasized that climate change is a problem that requires a global response: “This is also a great opportunity to create a just world for future generations and leave a legacy that we can be proud of.” , many people I see inspiring stories against the effects of climate change, but often these stories remain without sharing global action.”

The first “Difference Makers” will be selected and presented at the campaign’s official launch event at Climate Week in New York City, USA, on 23 September.
