A fire broke out in Zabrze on Sierakowskiego Street. 27 fire brigades appeared on the scene, not only from Zabrze, but also from neighboring cities.
– We are trying to contain the fire so that it does not spread to a larger area. There is a car repair shop nearby, where trucks are parked. One of them burned down completely – said the press officer of the State Fire Service in Zabrze, Junior Brigadier Wojciech Strugacz.
“Due to weather conditions, the fire is spreading quickly. Please be careful. Emergency services recommend closing windows. If you can, limit your time outdoors to a minimum,” Zabrze Mayor Agnieszka Rupniewska appealed to Zabrze residents on Facebook.
The press officer of the State Fire Service in Zabrze, junior brigadier Wojciech Strugacz, informed that a chemical group from Katowice-Piotrowice appeared on the site, monitoring the air quality. – In the event of any threat, we will definitely make a decision to evacuate – he said.
