Forget headphones, fluffy slippers and the espresso machine. Globally, three out of four Gen Zers say they want a fun experience or travel this holiday season instead of a physical gift, according to an Amex Trendex survey cited by CNBC.
Half of all gift “buyers” surveyed said they plan to give a loved one an experience instead of a physical gift.
But giving a trip as a gift is not so easy. Among the main difficulties that gift buyers face is the need for an exact date for the reservation. 34% of respondents say that this is a problem. According to 29 percent of respondents, the impossibility of changing names in the reservation is also a problem. 6,050 users from 10 countries took part in the survey.
Complex booking processes combined with the large number of choices and decisions travelers face can result in lost revenue,” the report states.
Among the ways you can save yourself the hassle of all the planning are gift vouchers. Many companies offer this option, thus allowing travelers to choose the period in which they will make their trip.
And for all those who want to keep everything under control, there are suitable applications where there are gift cards for more than 60,000 destinations and attractions around the world.
Simply select an amount and let the gift recipient choose their perfect experience.
