The CAG is proud to announce the awarding of a $22 million contract for the provincial file for cytology machines in liquid media.
This contract will provide high-performance laboratory automation to health establishments in the province and automate the process of analyzing liquid cytology samples for the detection of HPV (or human papilloma virus). This mandate, entrusted to us by the Ministry of Health and Social Services, will help improve uterine cancer screening.
A big step for women in Quebec
This investment in cutting-edge equipment not only results in an improvement in the tools available, but also in a big step forward for women’s health in Quebec. This technology will enable healthcare professionals to make more precise diagnoses and earlier treatments, thus contributing to better prevention and more effective patient care.
A positive impact on the community
The work is not limited to implementing new technologies; it has a direct impact on the quality of care offered to the Quebec population. By facilitating access to high-quality screening tests, the implementation of this new technology plays an essential role in improving public health and reducing inequalities in care.
The CAG would like to congratulate all the teams and collaborators of the health network for their exceptional contribution to this project. Thanks to your work, we have greatly contributed to a new era of care for women in Quebec!
