Adamari López’s experience with cancer
Adamari López was diagnosed with a breast cancer in 2005, when she was 33 years old, which forced her to undergo the removal of her left breast and receive chemotherapy to slow the progression of the disease.
“In my family no one had had cancer, so the news was difficult and it took me by surprise. But after consulting different doctors, I chose to have surgery to remove my breast so that I could move on with my life. I had the love and support of my family. That was vital and essential for me ”, explained López about his experience with cancer, in an interview with the magazine NIH MedlinePlus.
