A loud explosion caused fear in the residents of the center of the cocoa capital of Huila. According to the preliminary information, an explosive device was activated outside the headquarters of Banco Agrario in this town.
The incident happened at dawn this past Wednesday in the heart of Gigante. The authorities are currently carrying out investigations to clarify what happened and to find out where those responsible are.
“At around 2:25 in the morning in the town of Gigante, there was an explosion of an explosive device in the facilities of the Agrarian Bank, so police intelligence units were sent to gather information that would allow those responsible to arrested for this attack,” said Colonel Carlos Eduardo Téllez, head of the Huila Police Department.
For now it is known that there were no injuries, fortunately the blast wave only created material damage.
This attack is the result of groups outside the law who are trying to put pressure on the population to agree to pay extortion.
