It’s been heating up at the MJC de Fontbouillant, in Montluçon, since the annual general meeting on Wednesday July 13. Its president, François Laplanche, presented four motions to members, two of which were voted on by members.
More regular occupation of the premises on weekends
The most important concerns the occupation of the premises, adopted:
Our working conditions are complicated. The team is tired. Every day we have to change rooms. The presence of 109, which by convention occupies the Pier on concert evenings, prohibits us from occupying the premises on weekends, Friday and Saturday evenings.
–
The structure asks to have fixed hours for its activities, especially with the opening at the start of the school year of a video studio intended for its young people. “From January, there will be no concerts every Saturday, we will fix the dates. We need regularity in our actions,” insists François Laplanche.
Alric Berton, cultural assistant in Montluçon, invites the parties to “take the height”:
Business has evolved on both sides. That of 109 has become more important. The MJC has a central social component, especially for 11-14 year olds. But there are no concerts every Saturday either. We must guarantee the safety of the public. And the concerts are not compatible with the opening of the premises of the MJC.
–
This latter application makes it a new fire safety system. This is provided during the concerts by personnel from 109, opposes Alric Berton.
The new Smac, called “109”, will be officially launched on Saturday January 17 (2015)

“Studies are underway” for an extension
The elected official also specifies that “studies are in progress” for an extension of the building, “internal. But the political time is always longer, ”tempers the elected official. “We’ve been asking for five years,” answers François Laplanche. ” That’s enough. This is the second resolution voted by the members.
Two resolutions set aside
That concerning the electricity and heating bills, the continuous lighting of the buildings, even at night, the installation of bay windows upstairs, was set aside in the face of the answers given by Alric Berton:
The blinds will be installed this summer. A firewall has been created. We have already asked our service provider for detailed energy bills. And we have already programmed a company to analyze the exits of the ventilation ducts on the roof terrace.
–
The MJC fears the presence of asbestos in this equipment. The last resolution not voted concerned the accessibility of the buildings and their ventilation.
François Laplanche is now waiting for “reactions” before making decisions, denying having been virulent: “The tone was firm. This is not the feeling of Alric Berton: “His opening was violent. I had to require the microphone to make adjustments. ” To be continued.
